Immersive Mujawwad Programme

All too often when people recite the Quran, they don’t make an effort to pay attention to what they are reading. One of the main reasons for this is that they read too fast or they are just focused on reading beautifully, whilst neglecting a fundamental purpose of reading the Quran. They don’t take time to connect with the speech of Allah in the Quran. This is a problem – the Quran was revealed for you to absorb every letter and word. You are required to contemplate and ponder over what you recite. This can be done by slowing down your recitation and ‘force’ yourself to look at or focus on the verses of the Quran.

To address this problem, we have devised our Immersive Mujawwad Program. This is a specialist Tajweed course that focuses on reciting at a considerably slow pace, and at the same time applying all the Tajweed rules. This gives the reciter an increased opportunity to focus on what is being read, and at the same time giving every letter the respect it deserves. This is the essence of the application of the rules of Tajweed.

This course gives you an opportunity to journey through the last 10 Surahs using a method which gives you an immersive experience of reading the Quran.

Our unique method of recitation builds on the established Mujawwad style of the two greatest Quran reciters: Shaykh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Hussary and Shaykh Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi. What is different about our style of reciting is that we take it even slower, with a soft tone for easy listening. We believe in following well-established traditions of recitation and enhancing it by adding individual vocal tones to create a ‘devotional’ attachment to the words of Allah. We apply both the science and art of Quran recitation in our teaching.
