21.  Full Ghunna – Iqlaab (Change) – Noon-Saakin and Tanween

Noon-Sakin is when the letter noon carries a Sukun and Tanween refers to the three short Arabic vowels Fatha, Kasra and Dhamma, when doubled up.

If after نْ (Noon-Saakin) or   ً   ٍ  ٌ (Tanween) there is the ب , change the Noon-Saakin or Tanween  to a م and read with a ‘full’ Ghunna for two seconds. This change in sound and the reading is referred to as Iqlaab. Several examples are given below to demonstrate this.

سَمِيْعٌ بَصِيْرٌ , عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ , لَنَسْفَعًا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ, يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ.
